What is the Contributor Program? Participate in our Contributor Program and receive a credit with us to use toward the renewal of your Premier Listing, or any other advertising promotion for that matter, on AdirondackGuru.com. Who is eligible to participate? Business customers, enrolled with a Premier Listing on AdirondackGuru.com are eligible to participate. How does the Contributor Program work? Participants send us articles about the Adirondacks that we may post on our site. Articles will be reviewed by our editors, and if accepted we will post the article in our ‘In the Park’ section. If we choose to post your article, you will receive a $5 credit with AdirondackGuru.com, that can be used toward the purchase of advertising products (including the renewal of your Premier Listing, or any other advertising promotion we offer). What kind of articles are you looking for? We’re looking for articles and stories about your experiences in the Adirondacks. Topics can range from your latest hiking or camping trip, to upcoming events that you know of or are hosting, to just about any experience you’ve had that highlights what an amazing place the Adirondack Park is. How do I sign up for the Contributor Program? All you have to do to sign up is to send us an email with your article and your name that is registered for your Premier Listing and that is it. Will all of my articles become posted onto AdirondackGuru.com? Maybe. Our editors review all submitted articles for content, ensuring the language and subject matter are appropriate, and to make sure it’s relevant to the Adirondacks and our site. How does contributing articles through the Contributor Program affect my advertising fees? If you currently have a Premier Listing with AdirondackGuru.com, every article that you submit will lower your next advertising fees by $5. That means if you submit 40 articles that are posted up onto AdirondackGuru.com, when your next payment is due for your Premier Listing, you will get 2 years FREE!! If you submit 5 articles that are posted onto AdirondackGuru.com, you get $25 off of your next advertising fee. Can I submit articles to AdirondackGuru.com even if I do not have a Premier Listing? Yes, even if you do not have a Premier Listing with AdirondackGuru.com, you still can submit articles for posting on AdirondackGuru.com. This just means that you will not get any discount on any advertising fees. How will I know if my article will be posted or not? We will send you an email notifying you that your article has been approved and will be posted on AdirondackGuru.com. How do I know how much credit I have earned towards my next advertising fees? Every time you send us an article that is posted onto AdirondackGuru.com, we will send you and email stating that your article is going to be posted, and a tally of the credit you have earned. Does it cost anything to sign up for the Contributor Program? There is NO cost to sign up for the Contributor Program. All you have to do to sign up is to send us an email with your article and your name that is registered for your Premier Listing and that is it. Need more information, or have any questions?
