• Where is the Navigation? The navigation to our site is on the left hand side of every page and is a list of most of the links to the pages on our site.
• How do I use the Navigation? Our navigation is broken down into categories, Things To Do, Places to Go, Where To Stay, Where To Eat, Adirondack Information, and Website Information. These categories are then broken down further by the different pages on our site.

Searching:

• Can I search for something? AdirondackGuru.com offers several different types of ways to search our site. We have a Search page that allows you to search our entire site, or specific areas if you like.
• Can I search for just vacation rentals, or bed & breakfasts? Yes, AdirondackGuru.com has incorporated search features into our most popular pages which allows you to search for the content on just those pages. The pages that have their own searches are: Vacation Rentals, Motels / Hotels / Inns, Attractions, Campgrounds, Dining, Bed & Breakfasts, Stores, Retreat Centers, and Trail Descriptions.
• How can I search?The different searches on AdirondackGuru.com allow you to search in a couple different ways. You can search by location for what you are looking for, by name, state, zip code, or just enter in what you want to search for and all relavent content will come up.
• How do I find out what cities and towns are in a specific location? If you are looking for a specific town/city and do not know what location it is in, please visit our Location Definition page. This page breaks down all of the locations and what cities, towns, and villages are in them.
• Can I search for Trail Descriptions? Yes, you can search our list of trail descriptions for specific points (like mountains or lean-tos) or trail names.

Vacation Rentals:

• What are Vacation Rentals? Vacation Rentals are usually properties that are owned by people who are looking to rent out their home to people for certain periods of time. Vacation Rentals are usually personally owned properties that are available year round.
• Who can List Their Vacation Rental on Your Site? Anyone! Any person that wants to advertise their home on our site can.
• Can I list my Vacation Rental for Free? Unlike with our motels and bed & breakfasts, we do not offer free advertising of the basic information for Vacation Rentals. Even though we do not offer free advertising for Vacation Rentals, we do offer a Vacation Rental advertising package that offers much more than just contact information.
• What are the benefits of listing my Vacation Rental on your site? Our Vacation Rental advertising package includes your own dedicated page that can include your contact information (name, address, phone, email, web address), up to 10 photos, 1000 word description, list of amenities and policies, an availability calendar, all on one page!
• What does it cost to list my Vacation Rental on your site? Right now we offer an introductory rate of $150 for a year. Our normal rate of $200 is well below the average yearly rate for listing your Vacation Rental and our introductory rate of $150 is unbeatable!
• When would I have to renew my Vacation Rental advertisement? Our Vacation Rental package is good for one year, and the day that you pay is the beginning of your year. You would have to renew before the same day you signed up the next year. We send out a friendly reminder 30 days before your year is up and if payment is not received within the 15 day grace period, your Vacation Rental will be taken off of AdirondackGuru.com.

Premier Listings:

• What is a Premier Listing? A Premier Listing is an advertising package that AdirondackGuru.com offers to Motels, Hotels, Inns, Bed & Breakfasts, Attractions, Campgrounds, Restaurants, Stores, and Retreat Centers. A Premier Listing advertising package offers more than just our free listings.
• Can I list my business for free? Yes, you can list your business' name, address, phone, email, and web address on our site for free.
• What are the benefits of becoming a Premier Listing? Our Premier Listing package is much more then just your contact information, you get your own dedicated page on our site that can include: your contact information (name, address, phone number, email, and web address), up to 10 photos, 1000 word description, list of amenities and policies, and much more all on one page! You will also get your own banner add that will cycle through on all of our pages under the navigation on the left hand side of every page. Your Premier Listing will also appear at the top of every search that is conducted, so if your Premier Listing is a hotel in Lake Placid and someone search for places to stay in Lake Placid, your Premier Listing would appear first before our free listings.
• If I am already listed on your site for free and I become a Premier Listing, would my free listing stay? No, once you become a Premier Listing your free listing on our site (if you have one) will become inactive, only your Premier Listing will. If you decide not be a Premier Listing anymore, your free listing will become active again.
