From the trail head, the trail is marked with ATIS markers and travels at a moderate climb. The trail comes to a house where it merges with an old tote road. The trail follows the tote road until about a half of a mile, where it veers off. Staying on mostly level ground, the trail comes to a junction where the trail to the left leads to Mossy Cascade. Following the trail to the right, the trail climbs moderately where you will pass two ledges with nice views. After the second ledge, the trail comes to the junction with the Hopkins via Ranney Trail after 2.3m. |
