From the trail head, the trail, marked by ATIS markers, leads 0.1m to a junction with a spur trail that lead to the base of Roaring Brook Falls. From here, the trail climbs moderately for a half mile until another junction with a spur trial that leads to the top of Roaring Brook Falls. From here, the trail continues to the junction with the Giants Washbowl Trail on the right after 1.1m. |

From the junction with the Giants Washbowl Trail, the trail starts to climb moderately and encounters several side trails that lead to lookouts. The trail soon starts using switchbacks and after 1.8m you come to the junction with the Giant via Ridge Trail. |

From the summit of Rocky Peak Ridge, the trail climbs over the summit for over a mile through the open meadows on the summit. Then the trail starts to descend to the col between Rocky Peak Ridge and Giant, where the trail then climbs steeply to the junction with the Giant via Roaring Brook Trail after 2.5m. |
