From the trail head, the trail passes some houses, and joins up with an old logging road around a half a mile up. From the junction with the logging road, the trail/road starts a moderate climb. Soon the trail will veer off of the logging road where the trail eases off until you reach a steeper section of trail. The steeper section ends when you reach a nice ledge with a view. After the ledge, the climb lessens until you reach the summit of Rooster Comb after 1.8m. Crossing the summit, the trail leads to the junction with the Rooster Comb from Rt 73 Trail (Sachs Trail). |
